Imraz Mohammed was granted bail for $250,000 when he appeared virtually before Port of Spain Magistrate Magistrate Indar Jagroo charged with four counts of fraud yesterday. He was also ordered to pay compensation on a charge of larceny.
Mohammed, 32, of Bank Village Carapichaima was charged on March 23rd on three counts of obtaining property by use of dishonoured cheques, and one count of fraudulently obtaining credit.The matter was transferred to the Chaguanas Magistrates’ Court on Friday 26th March, 2021.
On the charge of larceny, the accused was placed on a bond in the sum of $3,000 and ordered to keep the peace and be of good behavior for a period of two years. In default, he would have to reappear before the court to be sentenced. He was also ordered to pay compensation to the victim in thebehaviour$3,500 within one month, and if he fails to comply, he would face six weeks’ simple imprisonment
