Police are searching for a 19-year-old Carapichaima man after he reportedly struck his older brother with a piece of iron, knocking him unconscious on Saturday night.
Police said the brothers got into an argument at their home, during which the younger sibling picked up a piece of iron and threw it at his brother, hitting him at the side of his head.
The older brother was knocked unconscious, as his sibling ran away.
A relative who was at home at the time took the wounded man to the Chaguanas Health Facility where he was treated and transferred to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex where he remained up to Sunday morning.
Investigators said the man sustained blunt head trauma from the force of the blow.
