A Colom­bian hair­dress­er was at­tacked, raped and robbed by a man pos­ing as a taxi dri­ver ear­ly Sat­ur­day morn­ing in Ch­agua­nas.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors said around 3.40 am, the 40-year-old woman, board­ed a white AD Wag­on along Mulchan Seuchan Road. The ve­hi­cle was be­lieved to be op­er­at­ing as a taxi. She re­quest­ed trans­port to Fe­lic­i­ty.

In­stead of fol­low­ing the ex­pect­ed route, the dri­ver di­vert­ed and stopped on Suresh Street, near the maxi taxi hub.

He then got out of the dri­ver’s seat, en­tered the back seat where the woman was seat­ed, and placed a cut­lass against her face.

He then raped her be­fore steal­ing her black Sam­sung S21 mo­bile phone and SIM card, to­geth­er val­ued at ap­prox­i­mate­ly $2,000.

The sus­pect was de­scribed by po­lice as be­ing 5 feet 5 inch­es tall, slim built, with a short grey­ing hair­cut. He was wear­ing a blue jer­sey and blue three-quar­ter pants.
