An ac­ci­dent while work­ing led to the death of a 42-year-old Char­lieville man on Sat­ur­day morn­ing.

Po­lice said Jamiel Jamaldin was work­ing on a lad­der at a con­struc­tion site on Abidh Road, Fe­lic­i­ty, at around 9 am when the lad­der slipped.

Jamaldin fell on a steel rod which im­paled him, killing him.

Ch­agua­nas Po­lice and Fire Of­fi­cers were called in with a dis­trict med­ical of­fi­cer who de­clared Jamaldin dead at the scene.
