The Con­gress of the Peo­ple says the coun­try is in­spired by the val­ues of Mus­lims cel­e­brat­ing Eid.

In a state­ment on Mon­day, COP said, “This joy­ous oc­ca­sion marks the end of Ra­madan, a month of fast­ing, prayer, and re­flec­tion. It is a time to hon­or the un­wa­ver­ing dis­ci­pline, bound­less gen­eros­i­ty, and spir­i­tu­al strength demon­strat­ed through­out this sa­cred pe­ri­od. These val­ues in­spire us all and serve as a re­minder of the pow­er of faith, com­pas­sion, and per­se­ver­ance.”

It went fur­ther in adding, “May this Eid bring peace, hap­pi­ness, and pros­per­i­ty to you and your loved ones. Let us con­tin­ue to fos­ter har­mo­ny and mu­tu­al re­spect among all com­mu­ni­ties, as we work to­geth­er to build a brighter fu­ture for Trinidad and To­ba­go.”
