An extensive search for a crying baby in a forested area came up empty-handed yesterday.
The Hunters’ Search and Rescue Team, led by Captain Vallance Rambharat, received a distress call from officers of the Princes Town Police Station around 1 pm to aid in the search for a baby who was reportedly heard crying in Hardbargain.
Team members told Guardian Media passersby reported to officers that they heard the sounds of a baby in a forested area off Sisters’ Road, Hardbargain.
The hunters’ team, along with police officers, conducted a thorough search of the area for several hours but were unable to find or hear the crying baby.
Police said based on their searches, nothing in the area suggested that a baby was even in the area.
