Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the sus­pect­ed kid­nap­ping of a 30-year-old woman from Chase Vil­lage. 

Po­lice said around 1.15 pm on Sat­ur­day, a man went to Freeport Po­lice Sta­tion to re­port that his girl­friend Aliyah Kissoon, of Ojar Road, Chase Vil­lage, had been kid­napped. 

The 33-year-old man from Mo­ka, Mar­aval, claimed that around 8.15 pm on Fri­day, Kissoon called him and told him she was leav­ing home to pur­chase fast food. 

He claimed that he lat­er re­ceived a call from her cell­phone and a man spoke when he an­swered. 

He claimed that the man told him, “We have your girl­friend,” be­fore hang­ing up. 

He claimed that 10 min­utes lat­er, he re­ceived a call from the same caller, who used a dif­fer­ent cell­phone. The man re­port­ed­ly told him, “We have your girl­friend and we want $3.5 mil­lion for her. If you don’t be­lieve us, check and you will find her car in Mt Hope carpark,” be­fore end­ing the call.

He claimed that he went to her home be­fore mak­ing the re­port and did not find her there. 

Po­lice of­fi­cers went to the carpark at the Er­ic Williams Med­ical Sci­ences Com­plex in Mt Hope where they found Kissoon’s Toy­ota Axio parked. 

The of­fi­cers checked with hos­pi­tal of­fi­cials, who con­firmed that she had not been ad­mit­ted for med­ical treat­ment. 

De­tec­tives of the An­ti-Kid­nap­ping Unit (AKU) were con­tin­u­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tions up to late yes­ter­day.
