In­ves­ti­ga­tions are con­tin­u­ing in­to a mur­der at Red Hill, D’Abadie, yes­ter­day morn­ing.

The vic­tim was iden­ti­fied as Shel­don “Bul­let” Au­gus­tine.

Po­lice said the vic­tim was walk­ing along Pi­ar­co Old Road in the vicin­i­ty of Red Cas­tle Su­per­mar­ket, around 10 am, when a white Nis­san Ti­i­da pulled up.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors said a sin­gle gun­man emerged and stood in the street be­fore he opened fire on the vic­tim at the cor­ner of Be­har­ry Street and Pi­ar­co Old Road.

As Au­gus­tine col­lapsed on the road, the shoot­er got back in­to the wait­ing car, which then sped off.

Passers­by rushed to as­sist Au­gus­tine, who died at the scene.

And the man shot at Uquire Road Ex­ten­sion, Carlsen Field, on Mon­day af­ter­noon, has been iden­ti­fied as

Jherod Khan, 33, of Keskidee Cres­cent, Bon Air Gar­dens, Phase 3, Arou­ca.

The labour­er’s body, which was found in some bush­es around 2.30 pm, bore mul­ti­ple gun­shot wounds.

He had been clad in a black jer­sey, grey vest, blue three-quar­ter pants with a black belt, mul­ti coloured un­der­wear, and a pair of GUC­CI slip­pers.

Of­fi­cers re­cov­ered one spent 9 mm shell cas­ing at the scene.

An anony­mous in­for­mant re­port­ed hear­ing gun­shots around mid­day, fol­low­ing which checks were car­ried out and Khan’s body was dis­cov­ered.
