Investigations are continuing into a murder at Red Hill, D’Abadie, yesterday morning.
The victim was identified as Sheldon “Bullet” Augustine.
Police said the victim was walking along Piarco Old Road in the vicinity of Red Castle Supermarket, around 10 am, when a white Nissan Tiida pulled up.
Investigators said a single gunman emerged and stood in the street before he opened fire on the victim at the corner of Beharry Street and Piarco Old Road.
As Augustine collapsed on the road, the shooter got back into the waiting car, which then sped off.
Passersby rushed to assist Augustine, who died at the scene.
And the man shot at Uquire Road Extension, Carlsen Field, on Monday afternoon, has been identified as
Jherod Khan, 33, of Keskidee Crescent, Bon Air Gardens, Phase 3, Arouca.
The labourer’s body, which was found in some bushes around 2.30 pm, bore multiple gunshot wounds.
He had been clad in a black jersey, grey vest, blue three-quarter pants with a black belt, multi coloured underwear, and a pair of GUCCI slippers.
Officers recovered one spent 9 mm shell casing at the scene.
An anonymous informant reported hearing gunshots around midday, following which checks were carried out and Khan’s body was discovered.
