CPO continues wage talks with TTUTA and other unions

Chief Per­son­nel Of­fi­cer (CPO) Com­man­der Dr Daryl Din­di­al con­tin­ued salary and wage ne­go­ti­a­tions with rep­re­sen­ta­tives from the Trinidad and To­ba­go Uni­fied Teach­ers’ As­so­ci­a­tion (TTUTA). He said the meet­ing fo­cused on salary ad­just­ments for the pe­ri­od 1 Oc­to­ber 2020 to 30 Sep­tem­ber 2023.

This marked the third round of en­gage­ment with unions and as­so­ci­a­tions ahead of an­oth­er se­ries of talks sched­uled be­tween 8 and 17 April, cov­er­ing the 2020–2022 pe­ri­od.

Com­man­der Din­di­al said that in the com­ing days, he is ex­pect­ed to meet with rep­re­sen­ta­tives of the Trinidad and To­ba­go De­fence Force, Po­lice Ser­vice So­cial and Wel­fare As­so­ci­a­tion, Prison Of­fi­cers’ As­so­ci­a­tion, Fire Ser­vice As­so­ci­a­tion, NUGFW, Amal­ga­mat­ed Work­ers Trade Union, Con­trac­tors and Gen­er­al Work­ers Trade Union, Pub­lic Ser­vices As­so­ci­a­tion, and the All Trinidad Gen­er­al Work­ers Trade Union.

These meet­ings are ex­pect­ed to cov­er salary ad­just­ments, ben­e­fits, and oth­er em­ploy­ment mat­ters rel­e­vant to the pe­ri­od un­der re­view.

The CPO said up­dates will be pro­vid­ed as talks progress, and the Gov­ern­ment re­mains com­mit­ted to fair and trans­par­ent ne­go­ti­a­tions, par­tic­u­lar­ly in ad­dress­ing out­stand­ing wage mat­ters.
