Cudjoe granted bail in robbery with violence case

Codde Cud­joe, 28, ap­peared in court on Mon­day charged with rob­bery with vi­o­lence. He was grant­ed bail in the sum of $250,000 with sure­ty.

As part of the bail con­di­tions, Cud­joe is re­quired to re­port to a des­ig­nat­ed po­lice sta­tion twice week­ly and ob­serve a dai­ly cur­few from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports, the in­ci­dent in­volved a group of ap­prox­i­mate­ly six men, some al­leged­ly armed with knives, who en­tered a su­per­mar­ket and con­front­ed three in­di­vid­u­als. The vic­tims were re­port­ed­ly in­jured dur­ing the con­fronta­tion. The sus­pects then es­caped with ap­prox­i­mate­ly $200,000 TTD and $15,000 USD.

An in­ves­ti­ga­tion, led by PC Forbes, re­sult­ed in the ar­rest of Cud­joe in Trinidad. Of­fi­cers car­ried out the ar­rest based on ev­i­dence gath­ered dur­ing the on­go­ing in­quiry.

Au­thor­i­ties con­tin­ue to in­ves­ti­gate the mat­ter and are pur­su­ing leads to lo­cate the oth­er in­di­vid­u­als be­lieved to be in­volved in the rob­bery.

The case re­mains open as po­lice work to iden­ti­fy and ap­pre­hend the re­main­ing sus­pects.
