A Cunupia man was found dead in his home yesterday morning, bound and beaten in what police believe was a home invasion.
The victim has been identified as 63-year-old David Lobin, of Uva Drive, Cunupia.
Police said his body was discovered around 9 am under the stairwell of his house by his Venezuelan girlfriend.
The house had been ransacked, but up to yesterday, it was unclear what, if anything, had been stolen.
Neighbours described Lobin as a friendly handyman who often did odd jobs in the community to earn a living.
