Dur­ing a sea pa­trol around 4 am, Cus­toms of­fi­cers of the Ma­rine In­ter­dic­tion Unit in­ter­cept­ed a lo­cal pirogue in the Gulf of Paria.

When of­fi­cers car­ried out a search, which had three men on­board, they dis­cov­ered the plant-like sub­stance re­sem­bling mar­i­jua­na packed in small pack­ets, in­side sev­er­al bags.

The con­tra­band goods weighed ap­prox­i­mate­ly 159 kilo­grams.
