Customs and Excise officers seized a quantity of marijuana in the Claxton Bay area on Tuesday with a street value of $11m.
During a sea patrol around 4 am, Customs officers of the Marine Interdiction Unit intercepted a local pirogue in the Gulf of Paria.
When officers carried out a search, which had three men onboard, they discovered the plant-like substance resembling marijuana packed in small packets, inside several bags.
The contraband goods weighed approximately 159 kilograms.
