The Po­lice Com­plaints Au­thor­i­ty (PCA) has an­nounced the reap­point­ment of David West as Di­rec­tor for a third con­sec­u­tive term.

Act­ing Pres­i­dent of the Re­pub­lic of Trinidad and To­ba­go, Nigel De Fre­itas, has con­firmed West’s ap­point­ment for the max­i­mum term of five (5) years, ef­fec­tive De­cem­ber 13.

Ac­cord­ing to the re­lease, "West has demon­strat­ed ded­i­ca­tion to the man­date of the PCA, em­body­ing in­tegri­ty, lead­er­ship, and a stead­fast com­mit­ment to ac­count­abil­i­ty and trans­paren­cy. His re-ap­point­ment en­sures con­ti­nu­ity in the Au­thor­i­ty’s work to build pub­lic con­fi­dence and main­tain over­sight of polic­ing in Trinidad and To­ba­go."

The PCA added that they look for­ward to West’s con­tin­ued lead­er­ship and look for­ward to the ded­i­ca­tion, ex­per­tise, and vi­sion he brings to the po­si­tion of Di­rec­tor.
