The State has ad­just­ed the cur­few hours for this week­end, which holds the Labour Day hol­i­day on Sat­ur­day and Fa­ther’s Day on Sun­day, from 10.02 am t0 5 am the fol­low­ing day.

A doc­u­ment was signed by Po­lice Com­mis­sion­er Gary Grif­fith.

Prime Min­is­ter Dr Kei­th Row­ley had in­di­cat­ed on Sat­ur­day that it was like­ly that the hol­i­day cur­few hours would ap­ply to the Labour Day hol­i­day.

Po­lice is­sued the fol­low­ing state­ment:

“Com­mis­sion­er of Po­lice, Gary Grif­fith states that draw­ing from the reg­u­la­tions which al­low for the Com­mis­sion­er to vary the cur­few times, cur­few hours for Sat­ur­day 19th June 2021, Labour Day, and Sun­day 20th June 2021 shall be 10am to 5am on both days.

The Emer­gency Pow­ers (Vari­a­tion Cur­few Times) (No.2) Or­der, 2021, states that for the pur­pos­es of Sat­ur­day 19th June, 2021 and Sun­day 20th June, 2021-

(a) the times spec­i­fied in reg­u­la­tion 3 of the Reg­u­la­tions are var­ied as fol­lows:

(i) from 5:01 am to 10:01am on Sat­ur­day 19th June 2021; and

(ii) from 5:01 am to 10:01am on Sun­day 20th June, 2021; and

(b) the cur­few times spec­i­fied in reg­u­la­tion 4 of the Reg­u­la­tions are var­ied as fol­lows:

(i) from 10:02 am on Sat­ur­day 19th June, 2021 to 5:00 am on Sun­day 20th June, 2021; and

(ii) from 10:02 am on Sun­day 20th June, 2021 to 5:00am on Mon­day 21st June, 2021.

This or­der shall come in­to force on Sat­ur­day 19th June, 2021.”
