Shastri Boodan
Devika Suklal: I don’t make resolutions, I start New Year's Day in the temple. I would like to see a change in T&T. I would like to see people show more love to each other, when people help each other they should do it out of love. Love conquers all.
Kevin Kowlessar
SHASTRI BOODAN
Kevin Kowlessar, 41, businessman: For the New Year we want to plan for the business to become more efficient and establish plans for future growth. Crime is a big concern for everyone and it's something that we need to live with. We need to do our part as well. We need to deal with the youths and get them involved in sports and areas of positive youth development.
Mukesh Ramsingh
SHASTRI BOODAN
Mukesh Ramsingh, 45, President of the Couva Point Lisas Chamber of Commerce: My New Year’s resolutions would be to focus on health, family and business. I would like to see a change in policies when it comes to crime. We need to unite to deal with this crime surge. 600 murders are too much, we need to change legislation that would lead to convictions, and home invasions are very scary. The country is picking up when it comes to business and crime should not act as a deterrent to getting into business. We have to spend a lot of money on cameras, surveillance equipment and security. The proposed increased rates of electricity would cause hardships and contribute to inflation. The Government should put policies in place to get businesses and householders on the road to renewable energy.
Nal Ramsingh
SHASTRI BOODAN
Nal Ramsingh, 69, businessman: At my age, I am looking to wind down things and see my family go on the right track. For 2023 I would like to see people get back on their feet, the roads fixed, crime reduced, and T&T get back on the road to prosperity.
Donny Mohammed

Ryan Kissoon
SHASTRI BOODAN
Ryan Kissoon, 49: I plan to lose weight in the New Year. The authorities should see about the crime situation in the New Year, crime has the whole nation living under a cloud of worry.
