A Diego Martin man will appear before a Port-of-Spain magistrate charged with triple murder involving Ako Matthew, Robin Sancho Jr and Alexsia Edwards.
Kwasi Matthew, 37, of Blue Basin, was charged following advice received from Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard SC, on Tuesday.
The burnt bodies of Matthew, 34, Sancho Jr, 21 and Edwards, 21, all of Diego Martin, were discovered between April 25 and April 26, 2022, at North Coast Road, Maraval.
The three had been missing for several days before their bodies were found.
Matthew surrendered to officers of the Chaguanas Police Station on April 26 and was subsequently handed over to officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI).
Investigations were supervised by Insps Lynch and Mongroo and acting Cpl Garcia, all of the HBI, with assistance from officers of the Western Division, the Inter-Agency Task Force and the Central Division.
