A Diego Mar­tin man was killed on Tues­day night while his friend was in­jured in a shoot­ing out­side his home.

Kadeem Ma­son, 25, of Ci­ca­da Dri­ve, Diego Mar­tin, was shot mul­ti­ple times about the head and body. He was pro­nounced dead at hos­pi­tal.

A 20-year-old man, al­so of Ci­ca­da Dri­ve, sus­tained a gun­shot wound to his left foot dur­ing the at­tack. He was treat­ed and dis­charged from hos­pi­tal.

Po­lice said the two men were lim­ing out­side Ma­son’s home at around 8.05 pm when a white Nis­san AD Wag­on drove past as if head­ing to­wards North Post Road.

The ve­hi­cle al­leged­ly stopped a short dis­tance away, af­ter which two men got out and opened fire on the vic­tims.

The two men ran in op­po­site di­rec­tions as the gun­men re­turned to the wait­ing ve­hi­cle and the dri­ver sped off.

The in­jured man lat­er re­turned to the scene to check on Ma­son and found him ly­ing in a pool of blood.

Res­i­dents rushed Ma­son to the St James In­fir­mary, where he was pro­nounced dead at 8.42 pm.
