A Diego Mar­tin man ap­peared be­fore the Mas­ter of the High Court on Thurs­day, charged with pos­ses­sion of a firearm and mul­ti­ple firearm of­fences.

This charge is in re­la­tion to an in­ci­dent that oc­curred on Feb­ru­ary 16 at Up­per Sa­landy Street, Diego Mar­tin.

Stephen Bethelmy, a 45-year-old san­i­ta­tion work­er, was ap­pre­hend­ed by the West­ern Di­vi­sion­al Task Force.

Af­ter com­plet­ing in­quiries, Bethelmy was for­mal­ly charged with, two counts of shoot­ing with in­tent, pos­ses­sion of firearm, pos­ses­sion of am­mu­ni­tion, pos­ses­sion of firearm to en­dan­ger life, pos­ses­sion of am­mu­ni­tion to en­dan­ger life, com­mon as­sault and ma­li­cious dam­age.

Bethelmy ap­peared be­fore the Mas­ter of the High Court, Ria Lib­ert on Feb­ru­ary 20 where he was not called up­on to plead and was grant­ed bail with sure­ty in the amount of $125,000.00 TTD and is sched­uled to reap­pear in court on June 20.
