A 30-year-old man of Diego Mar­tin was charged for pos­ses­sion of firearm and am­mu­ni­tion fol­low­ing an an­ti-crime ex­er­cise No­vem­ber 20th.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports, dur­ing the ex­er­cise, sev­er­al search war­rants were ex­e­cut­ed in the Bagatelle Road, Diego Mar­tin area. While at a house on First Trace, Diego Mar­tin, one Glock 17 pis­tol along with 16 rounds of nine-mil­lime­tre am­mu­ni­tion and 41 rounds of nine-mil­lime­tre am­mu­ni­tion were found and seized.

Dave Thomp­son was ar­rest­ed and charged. He will ap­pear be­fore a Port-of-Spain Mag­is­trate on Tues­day, No­vem­ber 24th. The ex­er­cise was co­or­di­nat­ed by Sgt Car­mona, Cpls Hunte, Khan and oth­er po­lice of­fi­cers at­tached to the West­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force.
