In­ves­ti­ga­tions are con­tin­u­ing in­to the mur­der of a dou­bles ven­dor in St He­le­na yes­ter­day morn­ing.

Po­lice said Shaquille Quamie, from Laun­dry Road, was fa­tal­ly stabbed around 4 am while prepar­ing his ve­hi­cle to be­gin his day’s work. 

In­ves­ti­ga­tors said Quamie was pack­ing his prod­ucts in the car when he was at­tacked.

Quamie op­er­at­ed Mel­lows Dou­bles in Trinci­ty.

Around 8.30 am, his broth­er came out­side the house and found him dead near his ve­hi­cle.

The mo­tive for the at­tack re­mains un­clear as in­ves­ti­ga­tions con­tin­ue.

In an un­re­lat­ed in­ci­dent, a man iden­ti­fied as Dwayne Mar­shall was killed in Matelot ear­ly yes­ter­day morn­ing.

Po­lice said Mar­shall was known to them.

Of­fi­cers did not have a mo­tive for his mur­der.
