With just days to go before the general election, Progressive Democratic Patriots (PDP) leader Watson Duke has launched a scathing response to Tobago People’s Party leader Farley Augustine, accusing him of arrogance, betrayal, and disrespect.

Duke’s remarks follow Augustine’s declaration during a campaign meeting in Castara that Duke’s political career is already “dead” and will be “buried” on April 28.

In a post this morning, Duke reminded Tobagonians that he was the one who gave Augustine his start in politics, opening the door for him to become an Assemblyman and Chief Secretary.

Duke said rather than show gratitude, Augustine has responded with insults and a lust for power. He framed the election not just as a political decision, but a spiritual one, urging voters to seek divine guidance when casting their ballots.
