The Tobago House of Assembly has come under fire from its own Deputy Chief Secretary Watson Duke for leaving a cultural troupe from the island stranded in New York.

Duke posted the scathing video to his official Tik Tok yesterday, as he called on the THA "hot shots" to act swiftly to correct the situation.

According to Duke, 27 Tobagonians were sent to Brooklyn by the THA to perform and represent the island.

"They were not provided for beyond the ticket," Duke said.

In the three minute and 50 second video, Duke said the Tobagonians were left without food and had only been provided housing by a member of the diaspora living in New York.

"I am appealing to the THA of which I am part—but those who consider themselves to be the decision makers, those who consider themselves to be the hot shots in the Tobago House of Assembly, the policy makers and drivers of the system—to act wisely and do so now. Show Tobagonians you care about them," he said.
