The Employers’ Consultative Association (ECA) has congratulated newly appointed members of Prime Minister Stuart Young’s cabinet saying the transition comes "at a crucial time when Trinidad and Tobago continues to navigate persistent and emerging challenges."

However, the ECA said the ongoing social and economic pressures, geopolitical positioning, evolving global market conditions and the critical need to ensure national security and stability also present opportunities.

"The ECA recognises that effective leadership in these key areas will be critical, and we extend our best wishes to the new incumbents as they embark on their respective roles. Citizens will no doubt be eager to see early signs of success via the realisation of quick wins to improve their daily lives and restore public confidence," a statement on Tuesday said.
