Eight people have been killed on Wednesday in a matter of hours, and police officers have described it as revenge killings in the aftermath of Monday’s murder of Kareem Walters, also known as Pinto Boss and Crime Boss of Pinto Road in Arima.
Earlier this morning, three people identified as Jeremiah De Frietas 18, Teshera Mc Kenna 39 and Jordan Mc Kenna 19 were shot dead. Preliminary investigations revealed that the three were in an SUV when a man alighted from a vehicle and opened fire on them. The three got out of the SUV and attempted to run away but were all gunned down.
Police said the gunman was believed to have been armed with a high-powered weapon.
Currently, the police are on another scene at St John’s Road in St Augustine where five people were killed. Their identities are yet to be disclosed.
Walters, 35, of Arima, was shot dead and his body found in the area where three suspects were seen walking. According to a police report, at about 4.40 pm on Monday, Walters’ body was found about 40-feet down a precipice just off the Toco Main Road.
Police said he was shot multiple times about the head and body. Walters lived at Pinto Road.
Three suspects: a 35-year-old of Train Line, Pinto Road, Arima; a 32-year-old of Eamon Lane, Valencia and a 29-year-old man of Righteous Lane are now in police custody assisting police in Walters’ murder.
