The stages are being set up at Eddie Hart Ground in Tacarigua and the Aranguez Savannah in San Juan, transport for thousands is being arranged all around, planning meetings are beginning pre-dawn - and jerseys of certain colours are being carefully prepared for tomorrow's final rallies and events by political parties, on the cusp to Monday's General Election. Here's more from the platform in case you missed it:

PNM Trincity/Maloney candidate Camille Robinson-Regis at Wednesday's PNM Women's Platform in St James:

"In these days before the election, they will try anything to distract us, any kind of wickedness, so I say 'St Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle! Be our protection against wickedness and smears of the devil..may God rebuke him!... Kamla Persad-Bissessar doesn't have the facility, mental or physical, to handle the affairs of T&T... she's unfit to lead T&T! She was unfit between 2010 and 2015 and now at 73, she's completely unfit! You see Dr Rowley? Seventy-five years and fit fit, fit as ever! Kamla is only two years younger than Dr Rowley, watch Kamla - she's unfit to govern. She can't even govern herself!"

PEP/UNC's Phillip Alexander at Wednesday’s UNC’s PoS meeting:

"This is not a political party to defeat. This is a band of demons to cast out! Monday we voting with prayers! ... Normally, I does be the gangster on the podium but (PSA president) Felisha Thomas is the best gangster! I can't even follow the lyrics! ... every time I look around the army (Kamla Persad-Bissessar) has assembled, overwhelmed by the talent, strength. This is no easy squad here! You could imagine being in Stuart Young and Rowley place knowing this squad riding for you?! ... Smaller parties: stand down, don't interrupt these people date with destiny Monday ... candidates of small parties: come over to the coalition ... T&T on fire for change, and on Monday we going to burn down that evil empire!"

PNM Arima candidate Penny Beckles at Wednesday's PNM Women's Platform in St James :

"When we talk of the Balisier we talk of a flower - if you burn it, it will grow back, if you chop it, it will grow back. A plant that continues to survive ... Don't get confused by this "Yellow is the Code." Politics and governance isn't about any code! ... if they feel they can use your vote, don't allow them to use you! It's a lie that PNM has done nothing for you. Unlike some places, you have the right to vote - exercise it! Compare the two parties! Compare the two leaders and choose for your children, your grandchildren and your future!"

OWTU president general Ancel Roget at Wednesday’s UNC’s PoS meeting:

“The opportunity presented on Monday is when we become employers and with this finger on Monday we’re going to fire all of them and hire the UNC ... I reading the headlines already ... I dream it about four days straight and every time I dream, it is be straight. I dream 36, I play Rowley 'Big money in mih pocket'. I does dream straight ... so we going to fire dem!”

NTA St Joseph candidate Gary Griffith at Wednesday's Mt Lambert meeting:

"What they (UNC) have done is create a cosmetic thing to fool you into believing there's a 'place' for me and a 'space' for me in the UNC coalition. But it's not a coalition of interests! It's a coalition of Kamla's interests ... choose your leaders wisely! Look at the individuals' track record and see if they have the capability to make T&T safe again."

Prime Minister Stuart Young at Wednesday's PNM Women's Platform in St James:

"As that last song said, every sensible man knows that woman is boss and every sensible man follows the advice given to him by a woman in his life. So, I thought I'd use the opportunity to ask the women of the nation to help the rest of us to make the only sensible decision on April 28 ... by talking to women about what I know matters most to you, since as I walked through the crowd one cannot help but notice women looking after children..."

UNC Caroni Central candidate David Lee at Wednesday's PoS meeting:

"I thought Chinee people could count. I could count...I heard Stuart Young said the coalition's offer (to public servants) starting at 10 per cent but PNM's starting at five per cent. My 92-year-old mother ask if I heard what Young saying and she say, "I thought Chinee could count!' I don't know about Stuart Young, what genes or race he has but I'm the real deal ...He talking hogwash...that's what Rowley did to our country - put a boy in charge and we must run that boy out of town on Monday...!"

PNM Barataria/San Juan candidate Muhammed Ibrahim at Tuesday's St Joseph meeting:

"Things looking good in Barataria/San Juan! The other side .... want to know where they base going ... I cannot believe that throughout my constituency, people of other political parties have the interest for this weekend to throw a 'zest' party in almost every constituency where they'll fuel youths with alcohol and marijuana, lookin to pull them in a corner, give them $500 so they can stick their hand before Monday in indelible ink ...I want to tell the youths to tell them 'we ent zes'ing with you, we bouncing with the PNM..."

COP leader Prakash Ramadhar at Wednesday's PoS UNC meeting:

"The ground has shifted ... our friends of the OWTU - Mr Roget, a man who I respect and I want to tell you, was a little bit afraid of .... in the past, is now a partner in the preparation for T&T's future. I want to make it abundantly clear, the task ahead of us is not necessarily an easy one - there's propaganda afoot in T&T for the past many years and to date, we can take nothing for granted!"
