Top CoP Er­la Hare­wood-Christo­pher says the im­per­son­ation of po­lice of­fi­cers who were al­leged­ly be­hind the re­cent Ma­yaro quadru­ple killing is con­cern­ing.

On Tues­day, the top CoP is­sued a state­ment con­demn­ing the bru­tal at­tack.

Eye­wit­ness re­ports sug­gest that a group, in­clud­ing a woman and a one-year-old boy, were at a camp­site in Bris­tol Vil­lage when six sus­pects dressed in po­lice gear en­tered.

The as­sailants or­dered the men to lie face down and shot them. 

Hare­wood-Christo­pher said the mat­ter is be­ing thor­ough­ly in­ves­ti­gat­ed, "This in­ci­dent is yet an­oth­er brazen ac­tion of the crim­i­nals and chal­lenge we face in com­bat­ing vi­o­lent crime on an al­most dai­ly ba­sis, a clear mo­tive for this in­ci­dent has not as yet been as­cer­tained, of par­tic­u­lar con­cern to us al­so are re­ports that the per­pe­tra­tors of this in­ci­dent im­per­son­at­ed po­lice of­fi­cers by util­is­ing blue lights and uni­forms re­sem­bling that of the TTPS". 

Hare­wood-Christo­pher in­di­cat­ed that a mul­ti-agency ap­proach to the in­ves­ti­ga­tion has been adopt­ed. She says she al­so in­tends to make a break­through in the short­est pos­si­ble time.
