An explosive device was believed to have been strategically placed under a luxury vehicle owned by Rachel Sukhdeo, the widow of Sheron Sukhdeo.

According to a police report, at about 8.30 am on Friday an employee of Sukhdeo was moving the BMW out of a parking lot of the car dealership at Almond Drive, Endeavour, that Sukhdeo now operates since her husband was killed, when the device which looked like a grenade was discovered on the ground where the vehicle was parked.

The dealership was recently relocated from Caroni Savannah Road.

Officers of the Chaguanas Police Station were called in and the area was cordoned off.

A team of bomb experts later arrived on the scene where it was safely retrieved and removed to a location to have it forensically analysed.

Sukhdeo is said to be currently on vacation.
