A Princes Town farmer was tied up and robbed by bandits while in his garden on Monday morning.
According to a police report, the 70-year-old man was in his garden at Chanda Trace, Indian Walk, Moruga, around 10.15 am when two men, armed with a gun and knife, walked up to him.
The farmer was tied up and robbed of his $300 cellphone and his Hyundai H100 vehicle valued at $40,000.
Searches by the police for the suspects and the vehicle were unsuccessful.
Last week, farmers in Carlsen Field complained of violent robberies after a farmer was shot and his father seriously injured during a home invasion.
