Relatives of murdered 45-year-old Brian Taitt of Cocorite are very scared for their own lives as they say nobody in the area is safe anymore.
Taitt was gunned down on Wednesday morning, 12 days after a murder occurred at Harding Place on the same spot.
According to a police report, at about 3 am Taitt, who was at a parlour was approached by a gunman who shot and killed him. The gunman then escaped. Taitt was the father of three.
A motive is yet to be established in that killing.
Relatives, who were at the Forensic Science Centre in St James on Wednesday described Taitt as an "honest and very upfront but humble person."
"He didn't censor anything. He was a kind person. He was strict and straightforward. We just don't have any idea why he was killed. We are scared and we feel that even if you avoid coming out they will come," Taitt's relative said.
On January 31, Roland Isaac was shot and killed in that same area. The parlour owner and a Kiss salesman were also shot in that incident. They both survived.
