A fire destroyed a two-storey concrete building along the Southern Main Road in St Margaret’s Village shortly before 4 am yesterday.
A resident alerted police after hearing crackling sounds and noticing the building engulfed in flames.
Officers were told the building was unoccupied, as its 87-year-old owner had been relocated to an elderly care home earlier this year. No injuries were reported.
Investigations are ongoing.
