Three men were arrested during a coordinated anti-crime exercise in Marabella yesterday, after officers recovered a firearm, ammunition and cocaine in separate operations.
Police said around 4 pm, officers conducted a search at the home of a 26-year-old priority offender along Jack Street, where they allegedly found a .38 revolver loaded with two rounds of ammunition.
He was arrested and taken to the Marabella Police Station pending further enquiries.
About 30 minutes later, officers searched another property along Battoo Street, New City Avenue, where a 28-year-old man was held after six rounds of 9mm ammunition were allegedly discovered.
He remains in custody.
In a separate exercise around 5.30 pm, officers searched a Battoo Boulevard home and allegedly found 14 grammes of cocaine in the possession of a 26-year-old man, who was subsequently arrested.
Police said he is expected to be charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
The operations were conducted by officers of the Marabella Police Station and CID Operations South under the supervision of Sgt Charles and Sgt Suliman.
Investigations are ongoing.
