Police arrested a fisherman this morning after seizing 17.3 grammes of cocaine from his home in Erin.
Officers from the South Western Division raided his home during a State of Emergency exercise between 4 am and 8 am in the Santa Flora and Erin districts.
Officers said the 40-year-old man had hidden the cocaine in his toilet bowl and claimed he planned to give the drugs to workers as payment for tending to his goats and sheep near his home.
The cocaine consisted of 48 pieces.
Police detained him at the Santa Flora Police Station and charged him with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. He is expected to appear in court later today.
