A dri­ve-by shoot­ing around 5 pm to­day in Tacarigua has left five per­sons hos­pi­talised.

Po­lice con­firmed two women and three men are cur­rent­ly be­ing treat­ed at the Er­ic Williams Med­ical Sci­ences Com­plex, Mt Hope af­ter they were shot at Par­tap Street, Dins­ley Gar­dens.

The five had re­port­ed­ly at­tend­ed the fu­ner­al ear­li­er to­day, of a res­i­dent who was killed last week and were at the house of mourn­ing when the shoot­ing took place.

Po­lice are cur­rent­ly on the scene.

Of­fi­cials have clas­si­fied the shoot­ing as gang re­lat­ed.

Mo­torists mean­while in the vicin­i­ty are be­ing urged to pro­ceed with cau­tion as the street where the shoot­ing oc­curred, had been cor­doned off.
