The Ministry of Foreign and Caricom Affairs has called on Trinidad and Tobago nationals to exercise the highest level of vigilance because of the escalating tensions between Israel and Iran.
In an advisory issued yesterday, June 16, the ministry said it was closely monitoring developments in the region and encouraged all citizens residing in or planning to travel through the affected areas to take immediate precautions.
The Foreign and Caricom Affairs Ministry advised nationals to remain alert and stay informed by following credible news sources and official updates.
It also urged citizens to register promptly with its Registration System for Nationals Abroad at https://register.foreign.gov.tt, ensure travel documents are current, comply with local safety directives, and locate nearby emergency shelters in case of intensified hostilities.
The statement advised travellers to create contingency plans for departure, especially if their safety may be at risk.
