Forty-two can­di­dates will con­test the To­ba­go House of As­sem­bly elec­tions sched­uled for Mon­day 12 Jan­u­ary 2026.

Four po­lit­i­cal par­ties sub­mit­ted can­di­dates for the elec­tion.

The In­no­v­a­tive De­mo­c­ra­t­ic Al­liance will field 11 can­di­dates, while the Peo­ple’s Na­tion­al Move­ment and the To­ba­go Peo­ple’s Par­ty will each con­test 15 seats. Uni­ty of the Peo­ple has sub­mit­ted one can­di­date.

The Elec­tions and Bound­aries Com­mis­sion said Nom­i­na­tion Day pro­ceed­ings were con­duct­ed smooth­ly and suc­cess­ful­ly, in keep­ing with es­tab­lished elec­toral pro­ce­dures.
