Envy and Jealousy is believed to be the motive behind the murder of Justin Jeetam, 26, who was shot and killed while purchasing a meal in Curepe on Sunday morning.
According to a police report, at about 6 am, Jeetam, of Boodoo Street, El Dorado, was waiting outside of Sami’s Gyros, located along the Southern Main Road in Curepe, to collect his order when a gunman shot him several times. The gunman then ran away.
The former Fatima College student was taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in Mount Hope but was pronounced dead on arrival.
One of Jeetam’s close friends, who did not want to be identified, said he believes that Jeetam was the envy of many but never thought to the extent that someone would have actually want him dead.
“He was outgoing and had a lot of friends. He was into car shows and show cars and I believe he may have had enemies from that arena but it could be many factors but we hope that the police solves this case and bring his killer or killers to justice, “ Jeetam’s friend said.
Jeetam’s murder comes a little over three months after, 34-yearold doubles vendor Sharzard “Shazo” Manick was murdered at his stand located a short distance away in the area, known for late night eateries.
