A fully vaccinated person is the latest COVID-19 victim in Tobago, according to the update for Tuesday 11 January 2022, released by the Division of Health, Wellness and Social Protection, in the Tobago House of Assembly (THA).
According to the update, as at 10 pm on Tuesday, this is the only new death recorded on the island over the past 24 hours, and brings the total lives lost on the island to 220, since tracking the pandemic’s impact began in March 2020.
In terms of new positive COVID-19 cases—some 41 new cases were recorded, bringing the current number of active positive cases to 1,362.
The Division’s update also reports that some 36 people hospitalised, with 29 of them unvaccinated; one person is partially vaccinated; and six persons are fully vaccinated.
