Devotees of the Sri Krishen Mandir in Felicity got the opportunity to attend service yesterday for the first time in three months.
Spokesman for the Mandir Ramnarace Dowtal said during the COVID-19 restriction period many people used the opportunity to pray with their families.
Dowtal said he was happy to see older heads connect with the younger generation so they can share their religious values while the nation
He said the Temple at Lyle Lane Street, which has a capacity of 120 seating, was reduced to 60 with chairs spaced apart.
Dowtal said hand sanitiser was placed both inside and outside the facility and devotees were instructed to wear masks.
He said, “Devotees were happy to come out and join friends and family today at the Sri Krishen mandir.”
Dowtal said while the service was only one hour yesterday, several meetings have been planned with various groups in the temple to look at the way forward.
Dowtal said he was hopeful that more people would attend service in the coming weeks.
