Hindu devotees return to service in Felicity

Devo­tees of the Sri Kr­ishen Mandir in Fe­lic­i­ty got the op­por­tu­ni­ty to at­tend ser­vice yes­ter­day for the first time in three months.

Spokesman for the Mandir Ram­narace Dow­tal said dur­ing the COVID-19 re­stric­tion pe­ri­od many peo­ple used the op­por­tu­ni­ty to pray with their fam­i­lies.

Dow­tal said he was hap­py to see old­er heads con­nect with the younger gen­er­a­tion so they can share their re­li­gious val­ues while the na­tion

He said the Tem­ple at Lyle Lane Street, which has a ca­pac­i­ty of 120 seat­ing, was re­duced to 60 with chairs spaced apart.

Dow­tal said hand sani­tis­er was placed both in­side and out­side the fa­cil­i­ty and devo­tees were in­struct­ed to wear masks.

He said, “Devo­tees were hap­py to come out and join friends and fam­i­ly to­day at the Sri Kr­ishen mandir.”

Dow­tal said while the ser­vice was on­ly one hour yes­ter­day, sev­er­al meet­ings have been planned with var­i­ous groups in the tem­ple to look at the way for­ward.

Dow­tal said he was hope­ful that more peo­ple would at­tend ser­vice in the com­ing weeks.
