A human skeleton has washed ashore in Cedros.
An anonymous caller contacted the Cedros Police Station around 3.45 pm on Friday claiming that three bodies were found along the shoreline at Chatham Beach South.
Officers led by ASP Nanan and Insp Ali searched two miles west along the shoreline and found a skeleton. A nylon rope was entangled around the bones of the feet while a pair of wash-out blue trousers was also entangled with the bones.
Police believe the skeletal remains may be that of a man. Tests are expected to be done at the Forensic Science Centre, Port-of-Spain, later this week.
Cedros police are investigating.
