Hummingbird gold medal awardee Glenn “Dragon” de Souza has died.
The founder of the Keylemanjahro School of Arts and Culture passed away on Monday. The Trinidad and Tobago Carnival Bands Association extended its condolences to the loved ones of "Dragon" on social media.
The association commended him for his unwavering dedication to the preservation and celebrating T&T's cultural heritage.
The TTCBA said he has left an indelible mark on the artistic landscape of this country.
In may, he was set to attempt to set a Guinness world record for the largest number of moko jumbies in one spot at the Queen’s Park Savannah. He originally wanted to set the record for carnival 2025 but various issues postponed his attempt.
