The Hunters Search and Res­cue Team found the body of 19-year-old Justin Thomas, days af­ter he drowned at Sobo Beach, Pa­lo Seco.

Cap­tain Ramb­harat con­firmed via the team’s Face­book page that they dis­cov­ered his body around 8:10 am on Jan­u­ary 29.

Justin en­coun­tered dif­fi­cul­ties while swim­ming with friends on Jan­u­ary 26 short­ly be­fore 11 am.

The team post­ed, “The search for Justin re­sumed at 6:00 am this morn­ing by mem­bers of our team where his body was lo­cat­ed a short while ago. The lo­ca­tion where Justin’s body was found has no cell or da­ta ser­vice, and ef­forts are be­ing made to in­form the Po­lice Ser­vice. We ex­tend our com­mis­er­a­tions to his fam­i­ly at this time. SLEEP IN PEACE.”

Ramb­harat said they walked about three kilo­me­tres west of where Thomas dis­ap­peared and found his body on some rocks.

Due to the lack of cel­lu­lar or in­ter­net ser­vice, the team had to walk back to their start­ing point be­fore alert­ing Thomas’s fam­i­ly and the po­lice.
