Six in­di­vid­u­als have been con­vict­ed and sen­tenced for il­le­gal en­try in­to Trinidad and To­ba­go fol­low­ing their ap­pear­ance be­fore Se­nior Mag­is­trate, Armi­na De­onar­i­nesingh, at the San Fer­nan­do 3rd Mag­is­trate Court.

The in­di­vid­u­als, all of a for­eign na­tion­al­i­ty, were charged on Sep­tem­ber 26, 2024, and af­ter plead­ing guilty to the of­fences, were re­mand­ed un­til their sen­tenc­ing yes­ter­day, Sep­tem­ber 27, 2024.

The court hand­ed down the fol­low­ing sen­tences: Jose Her­nan Re­que­na (Male), Greis­a­beth Jose Cor­vo Var­gas (Fe­male), Celi­na Eliz­a­beth Valen­zuela Mar­tinez (Fe­male), Berti­na Holis­mar Duarte Gon­za­lez (Fe­male), Gabriela Del Valle Var­gas (Fe­male), were con­vict­ed and fined $5,000.

In de­fault of pay­ment, will serve 30 days of sim­ple im­pris­on­ment.

They were giv­en two weeks to pay the fine.

While Kei­der­lin Veron­i­ca Men­doza Guedez (Fe­male), was al­so con­vict­ed and fined $5,000.

In de­fault of pay­ment, she will serve 30 days of sim­ple im­pris­on­ment. She has been giv­en 30 days to pay the fine.

The TTPS says it will con­tin­ue to col­lab­o­rate with rel­e­vant au­thor­i­ties to en­sure the safe­ty and se­cu­ri­ty of the na­tion by pre­vent­ing un­law­ful en­try and ad­dress­ing such of­fences with the se­ri­ous­ness they de­serve.
