The Immigration Division will launch its new ePayment Portal for persons applying for Student Permits and Visas for entry into Trinidad and Tobago effective March 1.
The ePayment Portal will allow for the:
- Online application for eVisas and eStudent Permits
- Payment by online mechanism (using a Credit Card)
- Acknowledgment of the Visa application in real time
- Ability to track the application status
- The online issuance of eVisas and eStudent Permits.
A statement on Friday read:
During the transition period from February 10 – 29, 2024, please take careful note of the following:
Applications submitted to immigration.visas@gov.tt will be processed as an application for a visa waiver. This would result in persons receiving approval to pay the visa waiver fee of TT$400.00 on arrival at the port of entry. This measure would not be applicable to holders of Diplomatic, Official or Service passports and citizens of the following Second Schedule countries, namely:
- Cuba
- North Korea
- The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia
- Vietnam and the
- Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela
Effective March 1, 2024 this process will be discontinued as the new eVisa Online Portal would be available.
