To­ba­go’s newest po­lit­i­cal par­ty, To­ba­go’s Peo­ple’s Par­ty, led by in­ter­im po­lit­i­cal leader Far­ley Au­gus­tine is ex­pect­ed to host an in­ter­nal elec­tions soon.

Speak­ing on a morn­ing show on the is­land yes­ter­day, Au­gus­tine said the ex­ec­u­tive is ex­pect­ed to meet by the end of Jan­u­ary to dis­cuss and set an elec­tion date.

The par­ty was formed in April last year, al­most a year af­ter all mem­bers of the Pro­gres­sive De­mo­c­ra­t­ic Pa­tri­ots re­signed from the par­ty.

This mass res­ig­na­tion came af­ter a pub­lic fall­out be­tween PDP po­lit­i­cal leader Wat­son Duke in 2022.

He said the par­ty com­plet­ed its Elec­tions and Bound­aries Com­mis­sion reg­is­tra­tion last year and re­leased its con­sti­tu­tion for re­view soon af­ter.
