Head of the Jamaat Al-Muslimeen, Imam Sadiq Al-Razi, has declined to comment on the Government’s recent decision to designate three international groups as terrorist organisations—Hezbollah, Hamas and Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)—but maintained his and the institution’s continued support for Palestine.
Speaking with Guardian Media yesterday, Al-Razi said he remains supportive of the Palestinian people and the difficulties they face.
“We stand firmly with the people of Palestine and all the oppressed Muslims wherever they are.
“With respect to the political manoeuvrings of the different players, that is another question... we don’t have the details as to what is in that reality, but it must be established that as believers all of us are brothers and we stand with all oppressed Muslims whose rights are being trampled.” Al-Razi said the Jamaat adhered to the principles of the Quran.
