Pres­i­dent-Elect Chris­tine Kan­ga­loo will be of­fi­cial­ly sworn in as Pres­i­dent on Mon­day, March 20th.

This was con­firmed by the Of­fice of the Pres­i­dent. The in­au­gu­ra­tion cer­e­mo­ny will take place at the Queen's Park Sa­van­nah grand­stand, the same lo­ca­tion where Pres­i­dent Paula Mae Weekes was in­au­gu­rat­ed.

The Of­fice of the Pres­i­dent says the cer­e­mo­ny should fol­low the stan­dard pro­to­cols with the in­vi­ta­tion of sev­er­al dig­ni­taries, prayers, a choir and a small mil­i­tary pa­rade.

For­mer Sen­ate Pres­i­dent Chris­tine Kan­ga­loo was elect­ed pres­i­dent on Jan­u­ary 20th by the elec­toral col­lege, over­whelm­ing­ly beat­ing the UNC's nom­i­nee for pres­i­dent, Is­rael khan.
