A 35-year-old labourer was found dead along Piparo Road, Tabaquite, on Thursday afternoon, after residents reported hearing gunshots in the area.
Brent Carlon Bolah left his home around 11.50 am riding his bicycle. An hour later, a neighbour alerted his relatives that he had been found lying motionless on the roadway not far from his home.
When emergency responders arrived at the scene around 12.50 pm, they found Bolah’s body on the road next to a bicycle. He had visible injuries to the head and was clad in a white blood-stained jersey and dark-coloured pants.
Investigators recovered several items from the scene, including what appeared to be parts of a spent shotgun cartridge, pellets, and two mobile phones belonging to the deceased.
