A Laven­tille teenag­er drowned while bathing in Ch­aguara­mas on Sat­ur­day af­ter­noon. 

Po­lice re­port­ed that around 3 pm the de­ceased Isa­iah Pem­ber­ton, of Prizigar Lands, Laven­tille went to a beach be­hind Five Is­lands Wa­ter­park, Ch­aguara­mas with rel­a­tives. 

While bathing Pem­ber­ton and oth­ers got in­to dif­fi­cul­ty. At­tempts were made to pull him out of the wa­ter; how­ev­er, he was pulled out to sea by the strong cur­rent. 

Emer­gency health ser­vices were called for help, and the Coast Guard divers even­tu­al­ly re­trieved his body around 4 pm. 

He was tak­en to the St. James Med­ical Com­plex where at­tempts were made to re­vive him, which proved fu­tile.
