The Crim­i­nal Bar As­so­ci­a­tion has ex­tend­ed con­grat­u­la­tions to Roger Gas­pard on his ap­point­ment as Di­rec­tor of Pub­lic Pros­e­cu­tions. In a news re­lease, the as­so­ci­a­tion's pres­i­dent Desmond Al­lum said the ap­point­ment was "well de­served." He added, "Gas­pard is in his 20th year at the Bar and is a sea­soned prac­ti­tion­er with a strong rep­u­ta­tion for in­tegri­ty, clar­i­ty of vi­sion and fair­ness." He ex­pressed the hope the as­so­ci­a­tion would take the op­por­tu­ni­ty to pro­vide Gas­pard with all the nec­es­sary re­sources for him to ac­com­plish his many dif­fi­cult tasks.
