Reign­ing Young Kings cham­pi­on, Ronal­do Lon­don, will du­el against his younger broth­er, Ri­val­do, and 15 oth­er con­tenders to try to re­tain his ti­tle in this year’s fi­nal.

The 2020 edi­tion of the Na­tion­al Ac­tion Cul­tur­al Com­mit­tee’s Young Kings Ca­lyp­so Monarch is sched­uled for Tues­day, Feb­ru­ary 11 at the Grand Stand of the Queen’s Park Sa­van­nah.

The Lon­don broth­ers swept to vic­to­ry in all three of Car­ni­val’s ma­jor ca­lyp­so com­pe­ti­tions last year. Ronal­do won the 2019 Ca­lyp­so Monarch and Young Kings crowns, while Ri­val­do took home the Ju­nior Ca­lyp­so Monarch crown.

Their un­cle, Bri­an Lon­don, helped the fam­i­ly com­plete a clean sweep, win­ning the Ex­tem­po Monarch com­pe­ti­tion last year.

Four-time-win­ner of the Ju­nior Ca­lyp­so Monarch, Aaron Dun­can, and Guardian Me­dia’s Cas­ton Cu­pid are al­so among the fi­nal­ists.
